Laser therapy

End your dependence on pain medication with naturopathic cold laser therapy.

Cold Laser Therapy, or Low Lever Laser Therapy (LLLT), is a form of treatment that utilizes wavelengths of light to treat bodily tissues. The light interacts with the tissues and is believed to encourage the natural healing process. This type of treatment is an option is you are coping with a variety of acute and chronic conditions in order to ease pain, swelling, and spasms, and increase functionality.

How does Cold Laser Therapy work?

Cold Lasers are small, handheld devices about the size of a flashlight. During your treatment the laser is placed directly over the injured area for between 30 seconds and several minutes, depending on the nature of the injury, the size of the area being treated, and the power of the specific laser. Non-thermal photons of light are emitted from the laser and pass through the dermis, epidermis, and subcutaneous fat. The light is able to pass approximately 2 to 5 centimeters into the skin where it is absorbed and interacts with light-sensitive elements within the cells of the tissues. This therapy can be used to stimulate a wide range of cell types, including ligaments, muscles, cartilage, nerves, and more.
